1      St. Paul’s now has a Twitter account. Follow us @stpaulsbrampton. If you would like to highlight an event or share pictures of happenings around St. Paul’s, please email to St.PaulsUCBrampton@hotmail.com.

2      Songbird Alert - Senior Choir practice continues at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday evening. All are welcome to come and sing with our wonderful choir.

3      Position Available - We are currently hiring for the position of Office Administrator for St. Paul’s, working approximately 28 hours per week, starting in November 2017. Candidates should have strong computer and interpersonal skills. Anyone who is interested in applying for this position should forward their resume to the M & P Ministry of St. Paul’s before September 29th, 2017.

 

4      Christmas Bazaar – November 18, 2017

The Jam Lady is in need of jars for her jams/jellies. Please leave the jars in the mezzanine.

 

Jewellery - If you have jewellery you wish to donate for the Christmas Bazaar, please bring it to the church and give it to either Tina or Jack for safekeeping. Ruth and Norma are organizing the jewellery and would appreciate receiving it as soon as possible.  Thank you.

5      Macy’s on Main will be at the market on Saturday, September 30 featuring our fall and early Christmas collection. See you there - weather permitting of course!  Fran

6      Doors Open Brampton, Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. St. Paul’s is one of only 12 featured sites in downtown Brampton. Come and share our rich heritage with our friends, neighbours and guests. Tours will be available. Wheelchair accessible.

 

7       St. Paul's UCW Round Robin Bridge Tournament will be starting Sept. 30.  If you are interested in playing, please contact Judy Daniel ASAP at 905 451 3713 or nabejude@gmail.com  One very pleasant lady needs a bridge partner, so if you don't have one and want to play, here's a golden opportunity for you.

8       Food Cupboard. The food cupboard needs Kraft Dinner, tuna and individual puddings as we are low on these items.

9       Roast Beef Dinner is on Saturday October 14th and tickets will be available for purchase each Sunday at coffee hour or from the church office. Tickets will not be sold on the day of the event. You can also sign up to help make this a success by working at the event, contributing for purchase of food or by baking a pie. Thank you for your support.

10       Circle of Friends. Our first pot-luck will be held on Tuesday, October 17th. The speaker is Jayne Culbert, Manager of PEAPN, an organization in Brampton. More details to come. All are welcome to attend.

11       Youth Board Games Night? Who's got games? Find out at our youth game night! Enjoy an evening of board games and snacks in Sanderson Hall on October 21 from 4-7 p.m.  Feel free to bring any board games you would like to play, and invite your friends to come out! We hope to see you there. Please RSVP to Natalia, Bailey or Rev. Richard. 

12       Book Club will meet after worship on October 22nd for their first meeting.  We will be discussing “Don’t Say We Have Nothing” by Madeleine Thien. We will also be deciding our book list for this fall/winter so please bring your suggestions. All are welcome. Bring your friends.

 

 13       Beat the Blues with fun and fellowship in Sanderson Hall on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 from 7 – 11 p.m. Coffee and dessert and an Amazing Silent Auction at 7 p.m. Enjoy an evening of cards and games too. Dance to live music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s by Sound Junction. Tickets, only $15 per person, will be on sale at coffee time after worship starting October 8th. Call 905-451-1405 or pick them up at St. Paul’s Office.

14       Trip to the Holy Land: Oct 11 – 25, 2018. Rev. Keith Knill and Rev. Marjorie Knill of Emmanuel United Church, Brampton are hosting a trip to the Holy Land in October 2018. When they return from their safari in Africa they will plan a get together to provide more information and answer questions. If you are interested, please contact Rev. Marj at revmarj@rogers.com.
